Super Robot News: Hi-res images of SOC The Big-O, Combattler V ver 2.0

Amiami has released official images of 2 sought after SOC figures, The Big-O and Combattler V ver. 2.0.

The Big-O is so far the highly anticipated SOC because of its bulky design and the added new accessories that will not be included in the original release that's because Tamashii Web will be releasing The Big-O's limited expansion set which includes new set of hands (chopped hand set), as set of arms which features the O-Thunder when the pistons are pressed; the cover of the arms split revealing the weapon, beam effect parts to imitate O-Thunder's firing attack, 2 new set of heads: skeletal and a bigger head, 4 Moby Dick anchors with 2 different heads and Roger Smith's car; the Gryphon. It will also include an additional base to accommodate the additional accessories.

The SOC Big-O will be released late this month priced at 13,440 Yen while the limited expansion set's pre-ordering started last Aug. 11 and it will end to be announced later. It will be released this December and priced at 6,300 Yen

The SOC Combattler V is no re-released version of the first version, in fact the figure is an improvement of the original version and added new/improved accessories in this set.

The SOC Combattler V ver. 2.0 will be released in December and priced 18,690, a perfect Christmas present for die-hard Super Robot fans.

Super Robot News: SOC Daitarn 3 confirmed, Combattler V, Getter Dragon unvieled

After months of speculation, the next SOC line will be definitely Daitarn 3. Its slated for next year's release.
Aside from that, other upcoming SOC releases also unvieled at C3XHobby are the much awaited GX-50 Combattler V ver 2.0 and GX-51 Getter Dragon (OVA ver.). Check it out by clicking on the image.

Super Robot News: CG images of upcoming SOC Combattler V ver 2.0

Amiami has posted 3D CG images of the upcoming Soul of Chogokin Combattler V which the figure is designated as GX-50. I would call it version 2.0


Looking on the CG model, I noticed that the guns of Battle Jet (Combattler's head) is exposed. Could be there still some part swapping in the improved figure? Aside from that, there are also improvements in the figure as well like the rocket booster of Battle Crasher which can be folded now (removed originally on GX-03) new hands (there's also part swapping here as well) and hopefully additional or improved weapon accessories which was not featured in the first release.

Other Mecha News: Hi-res images of SOC Spec Tekkaman Blade & Pegas

Amiami posted more high-res images of upcoming products from Bandai. This time from the Soul of Chogokin (SOC) Spec line, Tekkaman and Pegas, the 90's version of Tekkaman, Tekkaman Blade.


Check out the gallery by clicking on the image. This figure has a plasticky feel although it has diecast content on it.

The set is slated also for late July release along with Robot Damashii Tristan and it is priced at 11,480 Yen inclusive of tax.

Super Robot News: Official images of SOC GX-45 Mazinger Z

Gomen for the late updates everyone, haven't been updating news for the whole month because of hectic work schedule.

Super Robot News: A Look on the upcoming SOC Aussenseiter

Here's an image taken from Hobby Japan Magazine of upcoming Soul of Chogokin SOC Aussentseiter showing its "Pferd" mode or horse mode that can be ridden by the Daizengar.

The SOC Aussenseiter (along with Daizengar) will be released on June and it will be priced at 29,400 Yen inclusive of tax.

Super Robot News: SOC New Mazinger Z??

Cybergundam posted in his blog of a Dengeki Hobby magazine scan of an upcoming new version of Mazinger Z for the SOC (Soul of Chogokin) line. The Mazinger design is similar to the previously released Mazinger Z OVA version and it has more points articulation than the previously released SOC versions.

This version of Mazinger Z will be seen in the upcoming 2009 Anime series soon to be aired. The figure will be released in May, the price will be announced later.

SRW News: Upcoming SOC Daizengar and Aussenseiter

New scan images from Hobby Japan magazine March issue showing the official images of the upcoming Soul of Chogokin (SOC) figures; Daizengar and Aussenseiter set from Super Robot Wars: Original Generation. Check out the image.

The figures looked better than the earlier prototypes first publicized. There's no confirmation date when this set will be released.
