Breaking News: Toei Animation has released the official theatrical date of the upcoming Mazinger Z Anime movie.

This was posted at the official Mazinger Z movie Tumblr account the official screening of the movie which hits Japanese theaters on January 13, 2018. It also has uploaded the same 1st trailer that was released on the official Toei Youtube Channel last month, now updated with the official screening date at the end of the trailer.

Toei is at helm once again producing the anime that popularized the Super Robot genre in the 1970's. The movie will feature 2D animation with stunning CGI on the mechas. Featuring the voices of Showtaro Morikubo (who voiced Shikamaru Nara of NARUTO & Goro (Honda) Shigeno from MAJOR) as Koji Kabuto and Ai Kayano (who voiced Darkness from Konosuba) as Sayaka Yumi. Legendary Anisong artist Ichiro Mizuki, who also sang the original Mazinger Z theme song in the 70's will also sing the theme for the new movie. It will be directed by Junji Shimizu.
