If Bandai is re-releasing the METAL BUILD version of Destiny Gundam, they will also be releasing its prototype unit, the ZGMF-X56S/θ Destiny Impulse Gundam in the Robot Damashii line which also marks the 200th figure to be released in the line.

I'm quite surprised that this figure is going to be a retail release, rather as a Tamashii web exclusive figure. For those who are not familiar with the Destiny Impulse, it was originally a Silhouette pack for the Impulse Gundam (which the suit also has been modified for this purpose), as ZAFT's version of Earth forces' Strike Gundam's IWSP (Integrated Weapons Striker Pack) or the Multiple Assault Striker (that appeared in the HD Remastered version of Gundam SEED). Rather developing the latter as an accessory pack to the Impulse, it was later developed as a mobile suit that we all know today.

The RD Destiny Impulse comes of course, the Destiny Silhouette pack; which can be removed from the mobile suit's back where also houses 2 telescopic barrel Beam cannons which can be positioned either to the waist or on top of the mobile suit's shoulders, 2 "Excalibur" Anti-ship Laser Swords, Beam rifle, and optional set of hands.

Its slated for June release and priced at 6,480 Yen.
