Heads-up Mazinger Z fans, the anime film Mazinger Z Infinity; which was shown in Japanese theaters just 2 weeks ago, will get a screening here in the Philippines.

SM Cinema announced (in their official Facebook page) that Go Nagai's epic Super Robot saga is coming to local theaters. We don't know the details as of yet when the film will be shown, specifically which SM Cinema branches that will screen it. For now, they only posted a teaser in their page (see below).

Mazinger Z Infinity takes place 10 years after the original Mazinger Z anime (the original anime; aired way back in 1972 and the recent film is produced by Toei), as Koji Kabuto's nemesis, Dr. Hell returns to spread chaos once again. Koji (now a scientist) suited up once again, piloting the legendary robot Mazinger Z to take down Dr. Hell's army of evil robots once more. Mazinger Z Infinity earned 87 million yen ($785,610) at the box office since its opening in Japan last January 13. Aside from the Philippines, Mazinger Z Infinity will also be shown in the United States on February 11 and 12.
