Remember the news I posted back regarding the new Aquarion series, well Media Factory has uploaded a video at its official YouTube page last week; the first official trailer of Aquarion EVOL which was first shown during the movie Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa last February.

Thanks also to gekidan of JEFusion, we have some tidbits of Aquarion EVOL's storyline: the story will take place 12,000 years after the 1st Aquarion series and the new city will be modeled after Hong Kong. There will be a new cast of characters in the series and will pilot an new version of Aquarion fending off a new type of enemies, while the original characters of Aquarion such Apollo and Silvia will be reincarnated and will reappear in the series as hinted by creator Shoji Kawamori.

For now, check out the preview of the upcoming Aquarion series. Aquarion EVOL is created and directed by Shoji Kawamori, Satelight will animate the series and Media Factory will produce the series.
