Thanks to Capcom-Unity, we now have new info on the upcoming Mega Man animated series that will premiere in 2017, in celebration of the Blue Bomber's 30th birthday.

Image shown above is Mega Man's new look for the upcoming series. The series will be produced by Dentsu Entertainment, with Man of Action (the company behind Ben 10 and the characters of Big Hero 6) at helm, serving as executive producers and overseeing the writing and story development of the series.

The new Mega Man series will focus on Aki Light: a normal, upbeat, and above all optimistic young school-aged robot living in Silicon City. He soon learns that deep within his programming are secret protocols that allow him to transform into Mega Man. His new programming gains him nanocore armor, a Mega Buster, and the iconic helmet to fight evil that threatens Silicon City. Aki now balances his robot schoolkid life while keeping the city safe as his secret alter-ego, Mega Man. Joining him in his adventure is his pet dog Rush.

I can't wait to see this upcoming series when it premieres next year.
