Hasbro has updated at their official website more character designs of the upcoming Transformers Cyberverse animation series.

We've already seen the character designs of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Windblade, Grimlock Megatron, Starscream, and Shockwave. Hasbro has updated in their site, more new characters are coming, check out these characters that will appear in the upcoming show:

AUTOBOTS:

First Row from left: Hot Rod, Prowl, Ratchet. Second Row: Wheeljack and Blurr.

DECEPTICONS:

First Row from left: Soundwave, Acidstorm, Shadow Striker. Second Row: Slipstream and Thundercracker.

A total of 17 characters will appear in the show, most of the character designs are based homages to the Generation 1 designs like Prowl, Optimus and Megatron; Prime design such as Wheeljack which by the way its much cooler than the original Prime version; a mix of Prime and G1 design such as Ratchet; and IDW comic design such as Hot Rod which is based on his Lost Light character design.

Its nice to see ol' Screamer's design is different from his Seeker goon squad, too bad Skywarp is not included in the roster, but hopefully he might appear in the series (crossing fingers). And the Decepticons has 2 fembots in their ranks (Shadow Striker and Slipstream), bad news for the Autobots, LOL.

Overall the designs looked nice, hoping the story is good knowing the animation runtime is only 11 minutes, compared to the traditional 22-24 minute per episode. Transformers Cyberverse follows the story of Bumblebee who has his memory chips got damaged; fortunately, with the help of Windblade, he is on a quest to recover his lost memories in order to help him remember his mission on Earth while the evil Decepticons are hot on their tail-ends. The series will air the first "Chapter 1" season for 18 episodes this year, while the "Chapter 2" season will air next year.
