Hasbro is finally bringing the original Japanese Generation 1 combiner Liokaiser as a toy in their Combiner Wars line which was unveiled at the recent San Diego Comic Con.

I'm not totally surprised by the announcement since I already knew that they will be releasing a toy eventually after Hasbro teased us images of Liokaiser and Computron last January. Going back, Liokaiser will be composing of six toys where the 6th member, Ion Scythe is a retool of Arms Micron Gul which serves as Liokaiser's secondary weapon while the other five makes up the combiner instead of the six bot components (Jallguar is not in the lineup).

I'm a little disappointed that Dezarus (Dezaras, the Breast Force leader/commander) serves as the main torso for Liokaiser, instead of Leozack and its a retool of the previously released Skylynx. But I'm glad other component members are still the same with some of their names changed (for obvious reasons): Guyhawk and Fellbat (Hellbat) are retools of Air Raid and Skydive respectively while Ironbison (Killbison) is a retool of CW Brawl, and Drillhorn is a retool of the upcoming CW Nosecone from the Computron set which also a retool of Brawl as well.

Much like CW Victorion and Computron, Liokaiser will be released as a giftset and slated to be released later this year.
