Super Robot News: LEGO IDEAS Voltron Classic Official Images; Pre-Selling at San Diego Comic Con '18

Remember Leandro Tayag aka len_d69's LEGO Voltron classic creation that he submitted to the brick company and announced that will be released officially last year? Well, LEGO has finally released their official images of their version to the classic Super Robot and it will be pre-selling at this year's San Diego Comic Con.

Much like len_d69's original build, LEGO's version of Voltron will still retain the combining gimmick of separating to its 5 lion components, however the set will have a better robot face design and simplified sword design. The brick company has announced that their set will have strong joints on the arms, shoulders and wrists; good enough for posing when combined to Voltron, despite lacking the leg articulation.

The set includes over 2,321 pieces, it comes with blazing sword and a shield, an assembly manual, and information about the set’s fan creator and super force of LEGO designers. The set towers at 15" inches high when combined to Voltron.

As I've mentioned that the set will be pre-selling at this year's SDCC if you want to get hands on it earlier than the official release date, but its only limited to a few pieces that will be sold at the event. But if you want to wait for it, you can still pre-order online on the official website, and it will be officially released this coming August 1st, priced at USD 179.99.
